I have been lucky enough to work in the wedding industry for over 15 years. I originally worked at the very beautiful Warren House, Kingston Upon Thames as part of the wedding and events team. During my time there, I used to watch the talented hair and makeup artists arrive and makeup our lovely brides. I've always loved makeup and have been creative with hair. After getting married myself in 2008, my amazing husband Paul supported me in my decision to tap into my artistic side and re-train as a hair and makeup artist in 2009.

I work with around 90 - 100 brides each year, finding a look they love for their Wedding Day. In addition to my Bridal work, I also love working on Photo Shoots, or helping ladies look their best for Events / Special Occasions / Proms.

In 2010 I bought a franchise from a reputable and lovely company called Beauty Call and managed the Surrey and West Sussex bridal hair and makeup agency for them, along with being on their core team of hair and makeup artists. Beauty Call was a fantastic way to get to grips with the bridal hair and makeup industry and also make some great friends in the business. I then started my own brand in October 2015 and have not looked back.

My main aim is to enhance ladies natural beauty and emphasise their best features. I absolutely love Bridal Previews, this gives me and the Bride a chance to work together to create a look she loves for her special day.

Further training and keeping my skills up to date
My original training was with Jemma Kidd Makeup School, Patrick Cameron, Windsor College and Beauty Call.
I believe in keeping up to date with hair and makeup looks / trends and invest in new training each year. In the last few years I have loved updating my skills with Jo at Lovehair.co.uk I can't recommend Jo highly enough, to any hair stylist looking to learn "cool" and contemporary hair techniques. Jo is an absolute asset to the hair industry and I'm proud to be part of the "Love Hair Tribe".

On the Makeup side, I love going to the Kristina Gasperas Academy for further training. Kristina is an award winning makeup artist and judge for the Wedding Industry Awards and offers advanced Makeup training, really focusing on Colour Theory and choosing the correct products to ensure my clients look as radiant and beautiful as possible.

I also attend a Masterclasses whenever I have the opportunity, especially if an international artist visits the UK. I loved spending a day with The Confessions of a Hair Stylist, Lena Bogucharskaya and Boe Wright. All have a huge following on Instagram! They are incredibly talented and offer completely different styles / inspiration.
